Telephonic Conversation is another form of interaction between two persons. It is one of the commonest and fastest ways of contacting people. It is simple, handy and in the long run economical. 

However, the advantages of using body language and eye contact for ensuring better communication is lost in this form of communction. Still this is considered to be 'the priceless means of communication'.

  • Cultivate a cheerful and friendly tone
  • Modulate your voice
  • Never sound hurried or impatient
  • Enunciate words correctly
  • Do not use slang
  • Speak distinctly
  • Spell out the words likely to be misunderstood
  • Listen attentively to the caller
  • Keep reassuring the caller that you are listening by speaking words like ‘yes’, ‘okay’
  • Be courteous all the time
